TOURIST PLACES IN JHARKHAND
The state is famously known as land of woods, is a nice place to visit. Most of the parts of the state are covered with tribal area.
Jharkhand shares its border with the states of Bihar to the north, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh to the west, Orissa to the south, and West Bengal to the east.
The state lies at 24′ 3″ to 24′ 5″ North Latitude 86′ 9″ to 87′ 4″ East Longitude and is 2019 mts. above the sea level.
The state is mostly covered by the forests, wildlife sanctuaries, minerals and industries.

DASSAM FALLS
About 40 km. away from Ranchi on Tata Road falls a village named Taimara near which flows the Kanchi river, Falling from a height of about 144 feet Kanchi river makes a pretty fall called Dassam falls known as Dassam Ghagh also encircled with charming scences. The tourists are warned not to take bath in the falls or at least be careful while bathing in the stream.
